Powerful book that has a great deal to say.

A VERY powerful book, filled with practical wisdom. It should be read one section at a time, with time to digest its content. I would give it 6* if I could. The earth is changing for many who seek it, as global consciousness grows. It is all part of our cosmic evolution. Read it like you would the Bible, it has a great deal to say. VERY highly recommended.

Pain body dissolved

I resonated with the book from page one to the end. My age-old pain body that has been taken me prisoner is dissolved. This and the Power of Now has been two most important books I've read. This deepens my practice of Tai Chi into a spiritual level. I hope those who given the book a one star would give them another chance. Buddhism, Christianity, and all spiritual practices including this book are only names. Truth has no name.

Worth a careful read.

There is nothing really new here except for a remarkable analysis of how the human ego forms and covers the pure consciousness at our core. The book is not an easy read and tends toward repetition but that makes some of his central arguments more clear. If you are on a spiritual path from whatever religious discipline you like, then you very well might find this book of value. Although Tolle does not address this directly, I have not found a better explanation of the Buddhist doctrine of anatta anywhere. This book is not a how to particularly but more of a psychological treatise. In the maze of a lot of new agey junk published over the last 50 years, this book stands out as a valuable addition to the spiritual literature of the world.
