Monkou kicks off The Revelers series with, CARNIVAL TEMPTRESS, an intriguing novella with ample doses of humor, erotically charged scenes, danger, and festivities. The cold rainy day will not be the only thing to dampen Micha Lindsay's spirit. Reorganization at work eliminates her job, her car is burglarized, and her long-distance boyfriend unexpectedly leaves early with a "punk move" have Micha hosting her own pity party. With caring encouragement from her close-knit sister-friends, Micha decides to join them on a trip to Trinidad for the Carnival celebration. After all a little revelry will work wonders for her spirit, and it is not the tropical heat that has a body sizzling but the handsomely macho Amar Jaikaran.

Strait-laced businessman Amar Jaikaran should have known his flighty bandleader sister, Asha, would bring her posse to Trinidad to wreck havoc on his life. What he is not prepared for is Micha, as the attractive curvaceous sexy beauty is sending electric bolts through his body. And he really does not have time for silly distractions. Besides pressing business concerns occupy his mind, and his heart is grieving from painful Carnival memories. That is until he has an unexpected pleasurable voyeurism experience.

With a little help from her friends, Micha plans out her seduction game. But take-charge Amar has plans of his own much to Micha's delight. Unfortunately, others are not as pleased with Amar's business decisions, and decide to step up the ante involving those dearest to him.

Monkou creates characters you can't help liking and being invested in. The sexual tension between the hero and heroine is evident from the beginning, and reader will be rewarded with sizzling erotic loves scenes. The relationship between the four lady friends is pure delight, and all deserve their own story. The twists and turns in the business dealings add elements of suspense, though at times a little predictable, as a family secret is exposed.

If you do not know about Trinidad Carnival, the playlist of songs will have you swaying your hips, as the vivid settings, and celebration spirit pops off the pages engaging the reader in the moment.

Solid storytelling, sharp dialogue, genuine characters, a spectacular location are the strengths of CARNIVAL TEMPTRESS. The twist at the very end caught me by surprise and leaves me eager for the next book in the series.

It is a pretty good book about PVT properties. The book contains not only phase behavior but also simple correlations to calculate PVT properties. Also the book has detail phase seperation simulations. An excellent book for reservoir and production engineers.

Back with a vengeance.

The six issues collected here are rollicking good fun and represent a triumphant return to good old fashioned super-heroism in the Marvel universe. Unlike the dour pessimism of the last few years of Marvel comics, New Avengers Vol. 1 is a refreshingly happy and angst-less chronicle of the return of one of the favourite iterations of the team. And in addition to fan favorites Wolverine and Spiderman, some surprising guest stars show up to add some spice to the proceedings, including Daimon Hellstrom, Iron Fist, and the venerable Stephen Strange, not quite the sorceror supreme you may recall from days gone by.

The story concerns a magical incursion by apparently malevolent forces, determined to find the eye of Agamotto, a powerful magical talisman usually in the possession of whoever is the "sorceror supreme" of the Marvel U. Magical creatures invade Manhattan, possessions ensue and spells abound, and we're off to a swinging start to the new series. An interesting twist involving Dr. Strange comes up mid-way through the story, and the Avengers experience a terrible loss by the end of it all, but not before we get Warlock-magic-Wielding-Wolverine, being the best there is at what he does on the astral plane, no less. It all gets to be a bit silly from time to time, but the interaction between the characters, the occasionally funny dialog, the big stakes and strong pace, makes this an entertaining read from beginning to end.

All of Bendis' usual strengths are on display here, and it's clear that he's enjoying himself writing these characters. All of the characters are authentic to what we know, and Bendis wastes no time on useless scenes or pages. He has a story to tell and is judicious in his choices - there is a nice balance between solid characerter interaction and a proper, exciting plot! How cool!

The real beauty of this volume though, is the lush, gorgeous artwork by Stuart Immonen and the fantastic work of the colorist. The book just looks GREAT, and every panel of Immonen's work is pitch perfect - clear to understand, completely in service to the story, but nonetheless just beautiful to behold. A talented penciller who deserves the admiration and respect he gets from fans.

Bottom line? Buy this. It's good times.

Disregard most of these reviews, they're about the wrong book

This is NOT the book most of these reviews are referring to. Take any review that talks about the avengers reassembling after the "Disassembled" story and throw them out the window. Take a look at the cover before you write your reviews, people.

I can understand the confusion, however, as this is yet another Vol. 1 of New Avengers by Brian Bendis. This picks up after the events of "Siege," as the Avengers face another upheaval and Captain America gives Luke Cage the reins of his own team. As usual with Bendis's work, there are some great character moments, but the overall plot is a bit lacking, and seems to run up to a big fight without much thought. Bendis seems to do well with the dialogue and character interaction, and with the major events, but other than his run on Daredevil, he seems to struggle with coming up with consistently good stories for an Avengers type of book.

That being said, the story here was not bad, it was just based a little heavily in the mystic world, and I admit I don't have the background to appreciate things like who the heck Aggomotto is.

For some reason, he sees a need to add in yet another character who is already a main feature in other books, adding Thing to a team that already includes Spider-Man and Wolverine (who is not only on the X-Men as well, but is also on Cap's Avengers somehow). I guess that's what happens when you have two Avengers titles at once though. You start having to fill the roster somehow.

Immonen's art is pretty great, so that's at least one saving grace here. This book is worth reading if you're trying to fill out your Avengers collection, but you could skip it if you wanted to. I only bought it because I like Luke Cage and I get a real kick out of Bendis's portrayal of Spider-Man.

Bendis re-assembles the Avengers

To say that the new Avengers lineup raised a few eyebrows is saying it lightly. Plenty of fanboys call New Avengers Brian Michael Bendis' attempt to JLA-ize the team with the company's most popular characters (Spider-Man, Wolverine), but a few of the other choices he's put on the team is quite intriguing. By the end of this TPB, the New Avengers consists of returning members Captain America and Iron Man, along with Spidey, Wolverine, Spider-Woman, Luke Cage, and the Sentry; who may be the strangest choice here (you may remember the Marvel Knights mini-series a few years back starring the character by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee) as Bendis gives the team a Marvel version of Superman. As this TPB opens, Electro is hired by an unseen employer to break into the most powerful prison in the city. As this happens, Matt "Daredevil" Murdock, his partner Foggy, and bodyguard Luke Cage are brought in to find out why the Sentry, the most powerful superhuman on the planet, allowed himself to be imprisoned. Soon enough, the power goes out, and all the super criminals break free. Spidey, Captain America, and Iron Man soon join the fight, which thanks to the awesome art of David Finch, is one of the most action packed and well orchestrated brawls in mainstream comics today. After that, a new team is born, and a mystery begins to develop. Bendis' storytelling is ok, while Finch's art definitely sells the book. His action scenes are incredibly detailed, and his rendition of Spider-Woman is incredibly luscious. The new team lineup however is what hurts the book, because we don't need Wolverine on any more teams, and having Spider-Man on the team just comes off as cheap (I'm surprised he didn't include Daredevil as well, which is probably on the way). Despite that, this first New Avengers arc is surprisingly solid, and is definitely worth checking out.

Great, but wanted more.

This book has beautiful pictures and all of the techniques shown are very interesting. Some of the text is confuseing though, due to the poor translation. I wish that there where more tips in the discriptions (ie. appropriate temperature of equipement and tools, time frames for accomplishing certain tasks, trouble shooting certain issues) The explenations are very short and poorly translated. Over all I found this book useful, mostly because of the photographs. I would only recomend this book for those who have experience working with chocolate.

About the Author
Geoffrey Wawro is Professor of Strategic Studies at the US Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. His previously published books include The Austro-Prussian War (Cambridge, 1996) and Warfare and Society in Europe, 1792-1914 (2000). He is the recipient of numerous awards and prizes, including the Austrian Cultural Institute Prize and the Society for Military History Moncado Prize for Excellence in the Writing of Military History. In 2002, he shared a New Orleans Press Club Award for the live NBC/History Channel coverage of the parade and opening of the D-Day Museum Pacific Wing. He is also the host and anchor of the History Channel's Hardcover History, a weekly interview show with leading historians, statesmen, and journalists.

Very good piece of history

This is a well-written work that places the Franco-Prussian War in historical context. It attempts to tie the war to the subsequent horrors of World War I and II. As you might expect, there is a great deal of information about the great battles of the war. It was a bit too detailed for me in this regard, but for those of you who love military history, this is probably a bonus. The French don't come off as particularly brilliant or brave and are contrasted with the vastly more efficient Prussians. Overall, this is a very informative historical work.

Fantastic book for all on business, nutrition and life!

Matthew Kenney is not transforming food, he's transforming the way we think about food, how we enjoy it, how it fuels our spirit and really defining the future of nutrition. I've had the pleasure of eating at his restaurant in Belfast called the Gothic and even see him talk at events, but this book offers such an awesome look into his practice, method and life. I really admire people who disrupt the norm, inspire others to want more out of their life and explore the benefits of living with a happy and heathy practice in living their lives and fueling their bodies. His cookbooks make me excited about exploring a plant based diet, but it's motivating to learn what dedication Matthew has had in defining his business around what he loves.

Matthew is crafting the future of food.

Matthew Kenney masterfully writes a book about a chef that is not just about cooking or recipes, but bravely lays his cards on the table for the culinary and business world to get an insight glimpse on taking a risk that benefits the world. It's refreshing that he was able to take a few steps back to move a culinary movement forward and embody conscious capitalism. His narrative is an entertaining read that seemlessly uses anecdotes to tell his story, in his own words, by being respectful but candid. Humble but unapologetic, Matthew shows that food can and should be beautiful, delicious, healthy, good for the environment, animals, and satisfy our desire for pleasure.

Cooked Raw is fast, powerful, poetic and full of a specific type of energy, the type that explodes from a person living their truth and passionate to share it with the world. After learning how to make almond milk in a Southern California public library presentation, I picked up Raw Food Real World, one of Matthew Kenney's earliest works. I was deeply moved, excited to try new ingredients and it truly changed the way I approached food, turning it into delicious vibrant plant based dishes. Years passed with many different kinds of culinary experiences. I remember the next time Matthew Kenney appeared on my radar was when the Oklahoma academy was opening. I thought this was wonderfully innovative and shortly after, so excited to here about California, his new books and now his Miami and Thailand presence! Today, Cooked Raw has turned the lights on, inspiring the possibility of a new plant based journey that gently tugs at me all the time! The memoir took me on the most extraordinary journey and I absolutely loved reading Matthew Kenney's background, complemented with meaningful descriptions of the food shaping the experience! I am intrigued by the hospitality industry having worked in fine dining service here and there but I am also an artist and designer. Cooked Raw spoke to me on so many levels, creative, entrepreneurial, personal and spiritual alike. I highly recommend it for a pure shift in perspective, its raw perseverance and forward thinking message as Matthew Kenney and his team are "Crafting the Future of Food."

Kieran Milne (JNCIE-M #380, JNCIS-ER, JNCIA-WX, JNCIA-EX, JNCI, CCNA, Nortel NCTS) is a training developer and technical trainer within the Education Services department at Juniper Networks. He is the author of O'Reilly’s JUNOS Networking Essentials, and contributes to exam development for the Juniper Networks Technical Certification Program.

Jasun Rutter (JNCIE-M #214, JNCIA-EX, JNCIS-SEC) is a courseware developer in the Worldwide Education Services department at Juniper Networks. He has worked in the data communications industry for over 10 years as a consultant, provisioning engineer, TAC engineer, and training developer, where he has worked on the creation of various Juniper certifications.

Pamela Van Meter has been working in the field of Networking for over 10 years, and has been with Juniper's Education Services Department since June 2009. The History of Evil and Why it is Important to Understand

I purchased this book after I had read and subsequently reviewed on Amazon Zen Garcia's latest work, "Sons of God." I ingested "Sons of God," and believed that work opened up for me many paths of thinking and truth not yet explored. I invite you to read my review of "Sons of God" here on Amazon.

After finishing "Sons of God," I wanted more of Zen Garcia's excellent research and insightful commentary on ancient, esoteric, as well as Biblical writings, and so I bought this work "Lucifer Father of Cain." I was not disappointed! This work is a must read prequel to "Sons of God." It lays down foundational truths that must be grasped before moving on to further truths. The following are some of the reasons why I unequivocally recommend this book for any sincere seeker of deeper wisdom and truth, both historical truth and prophetic future truth. Allow me to explain.

1. The book is well organized into a meaningful and consecutive timeline of chapters. It starts with a huge learning lesson on "pre-history," then slowly and methodically builds the case for the reason of evil in this world, specifically the two seed-lines; one of Lucifer and the other of Seth. All the while, Zen hammers away any doubt with well-researched and well-interpreted ancient texts that no one else has brought together in such a manner.

2. Zen takes his readers from the pre-historical fall of Lucifer and angelic rebellion through the giant Nephilim cannibals, and to the current age of the Illuminati and hybrid serpent seed of wickedness controlling our very planet. Zen's special gift of understanding and relating to his readers the ancient hidden and esoteric texts brings the reader to the cold pale truth regarding the origins of evil and why it is always with us.

3. However, Zen Garcia does not just present the origin of evil and leave the reader stranded without hope; he always consistently points the reader to the majesty and sovereignty of the Creator God, the true and only real Creator God. There is a way out from the coming destruction of wickedness brought on by the serpent seed, and Zen does not hesitate to firmly declare the way of salvation from this impending doom.

4. I found this book prophetic. Zen spends a great deal of effort laying the foundation for historical evil, and yet, he devotes time to explaining how all of this information will affect the human race in the prophetic future when the end of evil draws near. And so, this work covers all of history to the future.

The title, "Lucifer Father of Cain," is too narrow. That topic, which has raised the eyebrows and ruffled the feathers of the sanctimonious religious, the Biblically ignorant, the uniformed, and sometimes just the plain old nasty spirit of wickedness in some people, is not what this book is about in its entirety. In fact, the topic of Lucifer "seeding" Cain from Eve is just one topic in the larger context of Luciferian evil in this age.

The title, in my opinion, would have been better suited as something to the tune of, "The Origins of Evil Past Present and Future." I can always tell when a negative reviewer has not really read the book. They will only focus on the topic of Lucifer being the father of Cain and reject the idea because of the use of extra-Biblical sources to arrive at that conclusion. If the negative reviewer had actually read the book in its entirety, they would have seen that there is much more to this extensive work on evil then its narrow title assumes.

Please do not allow narrow minded thinking to prevent you from discovering fantastic truths and concepts that are guaranteed to get your spiritual juices flowing. If it leads to a deeper and greater fellowship with the Creator God, then it cannot be bad.

Must Read Now-While You Still Can

This book is wonderfully researched, woven then articulated in a way that humanity needs so desperately today. It is controversial to say the least. However, think about all those people that claim to have an open mind and are willing to entertain a different point of view. Go ahead and read it before passing judgment on it's contents if you dare.

A Spiritual Blessing of Information

I have read all of Zens books and have been blessed by his insight and understanding of Gods Word. All of the books are beautiful and written in an easy to follow and understand way. The reference material that he uses is amazing and the amount of time and effort he has put into his research is truly humbling. God blesses whom He will to have insight to things that most of us cannot open our eyes to in understanding. He has blessed Zen with this gift so that we may benefit. I would recommend that anyone with questions regarding the spiritual things of God read Zens books.
